Privacy policy
Last updated 24 October 2026
QR Intercom ("we") runs a building intercom: visitors scan a QR code at the entrance to call a resident or the building contact, and residents and building managers use this site to answer calls and open doors. This policy explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Account details for residents and managers: name, email address, mobile number, postal address, unit and the building you belong to, and how you prefer to be listed in the visitor directory.
- Sign-in information: a password hash if you set one; if you sign in with Google or Facebook, your name, email address and that provider's account id. We never receive your Google or Facebook password.
- Activity records: calls (who was called, when, the outcome and duration), door openings and the building's devices. Calls are connected in real time and are not recorded.
- Visitors: no account is needed. We keep a one-way hash of the visitor's IP address to limit abuse, and a bot check (Cloudflare Turnstile) runs on the visitor page.
How we use it
To connect visitor calls, let residents and managers open doors, send invitations, sign-in links, codes and alerts by email or SMS, and produce monthly activity reports for building managers. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
Who processes it for us
- Cloudflare: hosting, database, file storage and bot checks.
- Telnyx: phone calls, SMS and email delivery.
- Google and Meta (Facebook): only if you choose to sign in with them.
Who can see it
Managers of your building can see your account details and your building's activity. Visitors only see the name and unit you chose to list in the directory, never your phone number or email.
Keeping and deleting it
We keep your account while you use the service. You can ask for your account and personal information to be deleted at any time; see deleting your data.
